Syntel, a U.S. based multinational that provides integrated business services and technology has digitised internal communications for its branches in India by utilising the digital signage solution of Mumbai based Xtreme Media. Xtreme Media, the India based 360 degree digital display advertising and communications solutions provider that provides highly customizable Digital Signage and LED displays, allowing a brand to manage thousands of screens from one location. Xtreme Media’s most noteworthy displays are the Mumbai Stock Exchange Ticker LED, Curved LED at the Mumbai Duty free and the internal digital signage network of State Bank of India.

For Syntel, Xtreme Media provided a customized digital signage solution, integrating an Android-based digital signage platform with a live streaming feature. Quad 81 Android media player, which includes the latest digital signage features, has been deployed for this project. Syntel required the live streaming feature to show the company`s managing director and chairman`s speeches and messages in real time at all required Syntel locations.

“This is a cloud based server that we have created for Syntel, though which the company can control their digital media, see stock quotes live feeds and websites. This solution has been provided by us for all of Syntel offices pan-India. A similar integration was done by us earlier for State Bank of India which has 2,500 digital signage media all over the country,” says Sanket Rambhia, Director, Xtreme Media.

With this technological integration, Syntel is now showing live streams at various offices using the Xtreme Media server software and a streaming server that captures the input from a camera, which is all a highly scalable cloud-based solution.

A total of 52 LED screens located at various Syntel branches in Mumbai are backed by the XM digital signage solution. Syntel creates the content that runs on the screens using XM content management software. To showcase client information along with its internal communication, Syntel makes use of different file formats, such as images, videos, RSS feeds, live streaming, docs, PDFs among others.
