Striving to be a "Company society wants to exist", Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has been practicing a CSR activity i.e. 'Teaching Road Safety Measures'. Where elder-age audiences are supposed to be the TG for this, but considering the neglecting behaviour of them, the brand educates children to become Road Safety ambassadors for their families. The idea of tapping children is to execute the reverse monitoring where kids inform their parents about the road safety rules; implying rules with immense impact on parents.
However, in order to cater to the younger generation, the brand added a fun element for thousands of families in NCR with the inauguration of its 'Road Safety with Chhota Bheem' awareness drive at Kidzania, Delhi NCR. Apart from them, the brand has planned to execute this activity in various parts in the country at the kids' concentrated areas.
With the unique Road Safety awareness drive, Honda is making families in NCR learn the importance of road safety to become disciplined and safe road users. And what better platform to spread this awareness than Kidzania, a place where hundreds of children and families come to experience learning through fun. At the core of our drive are children, whose role as influencers in their family is often underestimated. This drive is a huge platform for us to connect, inculcate road safety measures and promote good riding habits amongst families", said, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.
Honda ensured that there was something for everyone - road safety games like on-the-spot road safety drawing contest, quiz, a specially conceptualized stage play on road safety enacted by 12 children, word games, traffic cones tic-tac-toe, safety equipment tutorial and a workshop with police personnel for children.
Children took home memories of their favourite Chhota Bheem and Chutki, making the day all the more memorable for each one. Towards the end of the day, children and families also took the road safety pledge to become safe riders and pedestrians. Additionally, a few young lucky kids got a chance to dance with the animated duo.
