Rajinikanth breaks the OOH barriers in association with Air Asia

For its upcoming movie Kabali, a never-seen-before movie promotion has been done with a new rebranded aircraft.

Air Asia, a leading low-cost airline, actively provides the branding & promotional space in its aircrafts. Wherein majorly various categories of brands were utilising this space to tap the flying audiences, but this time, the airline, which is also the official partner for the movie, has painted its aircrafts with the imagery of a Superstar - Rajinikanth talking about its upcoming movie 'Kabali'. The objective wasn't only to promote the movie and brand's association with the movie, but to entice its passengers with such mammoth projection of the superstar. Moreover first time ever in the history of Indian cinema, airline advertising has been captured for a movie promotion.

Bearing the image of Superstar Rajini from the movie Kabali, parts of the aircraft have been painted and stickered with the livery. The aircrafts are flying across the AirAsia India network of destinations spanning Bengaluru, New Delhi, Goa, Pune, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Guwahati, Imphal, Vizag & Kochi.

Commenting on the association, Amar Abrol, CEO, AirAsia India said, "We are extremely thrilled to be the airline partner for the movie Kabali. Along with branded, the aircraft has also rolled out several low fares and contest on social networking platform. The movie campaign promotion has also taken place in Cyber Hub, Gurgaon where two digital screens are taken showcasing the leading actor, aircraft and its association with the movie. Executed in partnership with Havas Media Active, the digital screens taget the huge number of audience including the office-goers and people visiting for leisure. The creative designed in a way that it captures the attention through the presence of Rajnikanth.
