The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has invited offers through e-procurement platform from interested parties for granting 5-yr sole advertisement rights inside and outside 4,800 non A/C buses of various types through three different packages, namely, package-1 (800 old ordinary non A/C buses), package-2 (2000 Suvarna/Big-10/Jnnurm/Red/Eco plus non A/C buses) and package-3 (2000 Parishara Vahini/Old Pushpak/Vestibule non A/C buses). The earnest money deposit (EMD) required for package-1 is Rs. 8 lakh and for package-2 and package-3, it is Rs. 15 lakh.

These rights are being offered for a period of five years. The contract period is extendable by a maximum of further three years. However, these extensions will be granted one year at a time. Each package is being treated as a separate tender. Applicants will have to submit separate tenders for each package. Applicants will have to quote their rates on a 'per-bus-per-month' basis for each package.

The applicants should preferably be enrolled with BBMP. However, others may also participate in the tender subject to the condition that the
successful bidders would have to get this enrollment done within 15 days of being awarded the contract.

Advertisements will be displayed on the back panel of driver seats, passenger seat backs, grab handles, head rests, louver glasses (above window panels), scrolling displays and LCD/LED panels with video and audio rights and outside the bus on side panels and back panels.

Successful bidders will have to reserve five minutes per hour on the LCD/LED screens to display passenger information as decided by BMTC. Besides, BMTC may occasionally use unutilised media such as seat backside, grab handles etc.

The applicants will have to submit the EMD through a demand draft drawn in favour of the CAO-FA, BMTC, Bengaluru. The demand draft will also need to be scanned and uploaded to the e-procurement portal. The original draft towards the EMD will have to be submitted after bid submission closure and before auction commencement.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on December 18, 2012 at 3pm.

The duly completed tenders should be submitted through the e-procurement portal latest by 3pm on December 31, 2012. The tenders will be opened on January 4, 2012 at 3.30pm.
