The winners of OAA 2012

9th June' 2012 was when the Outdoor Advertising Industry celebrated themselves and their work as OAA 2012, honored and recognized, people who have contributed to contemporizing, energizing and leveraging the possibilities in OOH for best effect. This year OAA 2012 marked a new record by receiving highest number of entries in its history, i.e. 588 entries. This overwhelming response reflects the spreading fervor and popularity of Outdoor Advertising Awards. This year the 588 entries were judged by two separate jury panels for the creative and the media entries respectively and the judging itself was done separately on two different days. The creative jury constituted of the best brains Indian advertising has got by far. They intricately observed, analyzed the idea, the execution and impeccably evaluated the entries. The media jury was an apt blend of brand marketers, specialist agency experts and media professionals they being the ones who live and breathe the medium sure put their best foot forward to ensure that the deserving wins.

A total of 53 metals were given out on the awards evening, of which there were 18 Golds, 21 Silvers, and 14 Bronze. With 14 metals in their kitty DDB Mudra Max was leading, closely followed by Milestone Brandcom
who took home 9 metals and then there was Group M-Dialogue Factory and Bates Wallstreet who won 3 metals, followed by MOMS Outdoor Media Solutions, JWT, Lintas Initiative Outdoor and Platinum Communications among the other winners.

On the Media Concessionaire's side JCDecaux India walked away with Gold in the National Media Owner of the Year category, followed by Atin Promotions & Advertising who won a Silver and Times Innovative Media (TIM), the Bronze.

Commenting on the development Pramod Bhandula, Managing Director, JCDecaux India said, "This award is dedicated to the entire team of JCDecaux India, as it's because of their consistency and perseverance that we have been felicitated by the industry time and again. This award increases the responsibility that has been entrusted to JCDecaux to ensure a rewarding experience for both the citizens and the brands as well. Our
endeavor is to continue providing value to the society & our clients. Also, we would like to spread these services to the other cities in the country as well. I would like to thank the industry for this recognition and their support".

Pioneer Publicity Corporation won a Gold in the Zonal Media Owner of the year (East) category, Times Innovative Delhi Airport, took the Gold in the Zonal Media Owner of the Year North Category. Macromedia Digital Imaging won the 'Printer of the Year' Award; and in the International Category Encyclomedia Networks won Silver for its McDonald's campaign.

This year we had Ernst & Young team manage, oversee and audit the whole process which sure is a mark and testimony to the growing credibility of OAA.
