RMS rolls out a widespread campaign for Zee Bangla across East India

Almost every fiction/non-fiction program on television is backed by an outdoor campaign. Today, Outdoor Advertising is a permanent fixture in most television channels media plans to announce their new shows. With three launches of Shera Parivaar, Sati and Didi No. 1, Zee Bangla gears up for all-fiction/nonfiction lineup in the prime time daily band... It has recently unveiled an outdoor campaign. The channel’s extensive outdoor campaign has covered Kolkata, Burdwan, Durgapur, Asansol, Bolpur, Bankura, Purulia, Behrampur, Maldah, Krishnanagar, Raigunj, Siliguri, Coochbehar, Jalpaiguri, Haldia, Midnapur, Khargapur, Howrah, Barasat, Chandannagar, Arambagh, Tarakeswar, Kalyani etc. The media agency for the campaign is Mumbai based Reality Media Services.

The campaign specifically targets the youth and from there stemmed the selection of outdoor media and locations. Zee Bangla’s outdoor agency, RMS, secured media for the campaign that reaches out directly to touch the target group. The campaign rolled out in the East India employs a mix of conventional and unconventional OOH options. The media plan has been chalked out carefully and all the important junctions have been carefully plotted and selected to give omnipresence to the messages and exposing the TG to the creative.

The campaign for ‘Shera Parivaar’ with a duration period of 21 days started with teaser for 7 days followed by revealers.

Apart from this, a campaign was launched for ‘Zee Banglar Gourav’, an award function for a period of 15 days.


Commenting on the campaign, spokesperson from Zee Bangla, said, “Rest of West Bengal is always a very important market for Bengali GEC and special emphasize is given in each campaign for the same. Zee Bangla with focus on the market beyond Kolkata does an extensive marketing in ROWB through outdoors.”

She further added, “RMS helped in meticulously planning the campaign making choice with the perfect site selection and executing the campaign flawlessly which saw fair amount of eyeballs in ROWB. Since there were four campaigns placed in a row with a huge no of sites (A total of 400 sites - 100 sites In each campaign) the execution and maintaining the continuity was a very tedious task which RMS dealt with quite a zeal and came atop with flying colours and it served our purpose.”

Surojit Chakravorthy, Sr Account Manager & Media Planning, RMS, said, “The media planning was done keeping in mind the client brief and to synergize the connect between the media and the TG as depicted in the creative”.

He further added, “We charted out and studied all the four campiaigns at great length prior to planning of the site placement and we achieved what we had in our mind.”
